In-4 ff. in grey-blue half cloth wallet with laces. Rare first edition. 47 pp. 190 line plates (interlacing) and 10 color plates (chromolithographs). The three general elements of Arab art are stalactites, shaped ornaments carved in stone or wood and superimposed, interlacing, carved and assembled in a flat pattern, and ornaments, all in involutions of lines. An excellent, richly illustrated document. Also included: MAHOMET, Le Koran. Paris, Garnier frères, Classiques Garnier, [1926]. In-8 paperback, printed cover. Spine faded. Provenance : Jean-Charles Tauzin Collection (1889-1957)
