In-8 paperback, illustrated cover. 32 black and white illustrations, 204 pages. Mahmud Al Baji, Tunisian magistrate and man of letters. Graduating with the highest certificate from the University of the Al Zitouna Mosque in Tunis in 1927, he chose a judicial career in 1932. He made a name for himself through his writings in theology and poetry, for which he won numerous prizes. His account of the pilgrimage bears witness to the evolution of the pilgrimage in the 1950s, which was no longer carried out exclusively by boat, but also by plane.Sale ended
