Beautiful Mukahla from the Rif
Morocco, late 19th century.
Platinum rifle, barrel and receiver richly decorated with chased silver plates with vegetal decoration. The barrel is attached to the butt by six silver rings adorned with Solomon's seal (star). The wood is inlaid with a rich, complex floral pattern of silver threads. Arabic inscriptions on each side of the lock... Marks on lock and barrel.
