LARGE DIADEM KAYAPÓ INDIANS, BRAZIL
Mehinako tribe. Mounted on a braided cotton spinner, decorated with yellow and blue macaw feathers. The center is adorned with four large, blunt, rectangular Chloroptera macaw feathers. Height: 91 cm, width: 57 cm. Very fine condition, unframed. II/B, Ara ararauna, II/B, Ara chloroptera. Collected between 1954 and 1977. Pre-convention specimens exempt from any prohibition on sale. Provenance Marcel Isy-Schwart Collection (1917 - 2012), kept by the family.Sale ended
