KAYAPÓ INDIAN TIARA, BRAZIL

Yawalapiti tribe. Mounted on a woven cotton spinneret, decorated with Chloroptera macaw feathers. The center is adorned with a large rectal feather of the same species. Height: 55 cm, width: 38 cm. Very fine condition, unframed. II/B, Ara chloroptera. Collected between 1954 and 1977. Pre-convention specimens exempt from any prohibition on sale. Provenance Marcel Isy-Schwart Collection (1917 - 2012), kept by the family.
