India, early 19th century

In hammered silver, the bulbous body resting on a circular foot, the neck arched with a wide rim, the spout ithyphallic. The neck is engraved with a symmetrical double frieze of stylized leaves. The gadrooned body is underlined by an elegant frieze of palmettes, and topped by floral scrolls on the shoulder.
