Beautiful Atlas Mukahla

Southern Morocco, 19th century

With flintlock lock and cutaway steel barrel, the wood is completely covered with nielloed silver plates and nailheads, while the counterplate is embellished with polychrome enamels and red glass cabochons. The motifs adorning the silver plates and rings are alternately floral rosettes and palmettes and cruciform motifs with its metal ring. A very fine piece. A few minor accidents.
