Ottoman pedestal table

Syria, Damascus, late 19th century

Inlaid walnut with mother-of-pearl set in nets of pewter, bone and stained wood. The octagonal top is edged with chevrons of bone and mahogany plates. The eight feet are decorated with arcatures and leaves and are openwork. 46 x 40 cm.
