with carved wood or bone handle, silver guard, double-edged steel blade, wood, tortoiseshell and metal scabbard L. 43 cm, 44 and 47.5 cm. Kris daggers are the distinctive weapons of Malaysia and Indonesia. They are known for their characteristic wavy shape, although some can also be straight. They are often said to have supernatural powers. Provenance : Jean-Charles Tauzin Collection (1889-1957)
