Ottoman Empire, 19th - 20th century
set consisting of four pairs plus two isolated sandals, in wood inlaid with mother-of-pearl and pewter fillet, enhanced with pieces of leather embroidered with silver thread. One pair covered with embossed and chased copper plates. Worn and missing. INCLUDED: Babouches from the Maghreb. Algeria and Morocco, 19th-20th century. H: 4.5 to 27 cm ; L. 20 to 24 cm.
