Softwood, skin, basketry, early 20th century Tsogho or Lumbo, Gabon 59 cm (restoration of left foot and reconstituted strings) Provenance: former Lydie & Roland Rappaport collection It differs from the usual corpus in its depiction of arms and legs. The hollowed-out bowl may indicate a fetish or reliquary use.
