"Madame, A fortnight ago I would have? been too happy to receive you and to hear you...". To Madame C.CHAILLEY RICHEZ. With envelope. - Autograph letter on the back of a program by the CHAILLEY Quartet. Saturday, December 9, at 3:30 pm. "Beethoven, Mozart, Mendelssohn: after two and a half years of war, it's still the same thing. A young musician has to be killed for there to be a bit of French music (?). Yet there are a few Frenchmen who have written chamber music. C. Saint Saëns (with his envelope). - An autograph letter. January 8, 1917. "Indeed my dear colleague, I had only seen this program..." Signed "C.SAINT-SAENS". With envelope to Marcel CHAILLEY. - An autograph letter. January 11, 1917. "My dear Chailley. I have never recommended anyone as an interpreter of my works to MM Chevillard...?" Signed "C.SAINT-SAENS". With envelope, to Marcel CHAILLEY.
