It bears an iron mark on the inside of the neck cleat, the label "Josep Guarnerius... 1720" and a repair label dated 1859. Two-piece maple back. Gilded brown varnish typical of the maker. Various breaks, restorations, traces of worms. The whole to be restored. 739 mm. Made at CABASSE in Mirecourt in the first part of the 19th century. French cello by CABASSE XIXth century bearing the stamp. Should be restored.Sale ended
