with beautifully schematized, pure and stylized forms. She is presented standing on massive legs. Her gaze, cast in the shadows beneath the visor, lends her a timeless, mysterious expressiveness. Gray calcite, lightly speckled and veined, sculpted and polished Mezcala, type M10, Guerrero region, Mexico 350-100 B.C. 21.4 x 6.5 x 4.8 cm Provenance: Former Yvon Collet collection since 1967.
